HEAT: ART AND CLIMATE CHANGE

RMIT Gallery 101 344 Swanston Street
Melbourne VIC 3000
12 September - 18 October 2008

Since 2002, Anne Noble has been fascinated by the Antarctic, in particular its relationship to tourism and commercialisation. Ice Blink: Antarctic Photographs, is a selection of photographs reflecting on the fictive Antarctic scapes found in museum exhibits as far from the real site as Scotland and the United States. These works reflect on our role as consumers in relation to this dramatically beautiful wilderness.

A selection of Anne Noble's Antarctic images will also feature in the exhibition Heat: Art and Climate Change, a collaborative project developed by RMIT Gallery and the Art & Sustainability Research Cluster.
