MUSEUM: THE MACLEAYS, THEIR COLLECTION AND THE SEARCH FOR ORDER

In 2002 Robyn Stacey began a residency at Macleay Museum, photographing the
vast natural history holdings. These striking images which investigate the
colourful and intriguing presence of an array of specimens are beautifully
reproduced in the Cambridge University Press publication Museum: the Macleays,
their collection and the search for order 2007, a collaboration with author
Ashley Hay. Macleay Museum celebrates the publication with an exhibition of

PHOTOQUAI FESTIVAL
Paris
Two of Stills' artists, Ricky Maynard and Anne Noble are currently on show
in Paris as part of Photoquai. Located in institutions along the banks of the
Seine, this biennial festival is dedicated to non-Western visual arts.
Ricky Maynard's Portraits of a distant land is presented at the Australian
Embassy, Paris, organized as part of a touring exhibition by the Museum of
Contemporary Art and curated by Keith Munro. This exhibition includes a
selection of photographs from six bodies of Ricky Maynard's work developed
over the last twenty years. 31 October 2007 - 11 January 2008
Ann Noble's series Ruby's Room, which presents a unique representation of
childhood using vivid colour and disproportionate scale, is on show at the
Musee du quai Branly, Paris. 30 October 2007 - 13 January 2008

Van Sowerwine's work Small Beast: Oliver was exhibited as part of the
Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize. This is a unique sculptural work that allows
the audience to view the animated thoughts of the mysterious animal through a
