Pat Brassington's 'Wedding Guest', 'Drummer', 'Topography in Pink', 'Purr' and 'Crush' from her recent series You're
so Vein are included in this exhibition, curated by Rhana Devenport.
The quirky, uncanny and the unexpected are corralled together, exploring themes of materiality, its slipperiness and
meaning, particularly the considered transformation of substances into the realm of the 'unnaturally strange'.
Also featured are new bodies of work by Fiona Hall and Lisa Reihana as well as fresh work by younger artists

SOUTH AUSTRALIAN SCHOOL OF ART GALLERY, ADELAIDE

Concord explores the diversity and innovation in photography in South Australia. Fourteen photo-media artists, including
Narelle Autio, Mark Kimber and Stephanie Valentin with current or past connections to the Photography Department of the
South Australian School of Art present works that reflect an aspect of their contemporary practice. Childhood, family,
memory, identity, and nature are some of the key themes explored in this exhibition. Concord highlights the changing
nature of photography as a medium, and the fundamental role photography has in shaping our cultural identities and histories. |

SYDNEY LIFE PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION & PRIZE
Photographers are invited to submit to Sydney Life, an exhibition of large-scale photographic works displayed along
the Grand Central Walkway of Hyde Park North from 4 - 23 October 2005. This dynamic event focuses on the visual arts
and their integration into the everyday fabric of the city.
Sydney Life aims to exhibit artworks by emerging, mid career and established photographers, providing public recognition
and ongoing career benefits to artists at all stages of their careers. All photographers are encouraged to apply.
