Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival Program

Hiromi's attraction is to human relationships. In series form she examines two relationships, a male and a female gay couple. She says her experience of making these photographs was a wonderful one because the couples opened their lives to her. She shows the intimate bonds which develop between gay couples, saying she sees states of happiness and loneliness as closely aligned. Using colour and black and white images alongside each other the information provided becomes richer and more complex. These images are pleasurable in their simplicity and sensitivity.
